What customers say?

“ Loved the granola! So beautifully presented and so tasty Good coffee too. By the way you need to update your online menu - granola is not listed in there at the moment. It is a shame people will miss it... ”

“ Tried here for the first time last week and they nailed mum's coffee first time. This time, the guy even remembered us and said "I've made a note of it, the Rosie Coffee!" Brilliant customer service. Last week had the roasted cauliflower... that was very tasty, great texture, the flavours were amazing, huge serving, and very filling. Recommend. Today I had the pumpkin pesto gnocchi (without the goats cheese). Generous serving and very filling, very delicious. Recommend. At our table others had chips and aioli... big bowl, great seasoning, and the fried rice, very generous serving, delicious. Inside there is lots of room, plenty of space between tables to park walking aids, or prams etc. plenty of tables for different size groups. Each team member we've engaged with has been super friendly. We really appreciated the great service. ”

“ good flat white, but the real star of the show here is their ‘cookie monster shake’ (a cookies and cream milkshake with whipped cream) — excellent look and taste, enough for me to overlook how easy it is to sip! it also helps that the place is very pretty with the warm lighting, greenery, and nice staff. definitely come here with a friend to try the cookie monster shake! ”

“ Expect vegetarian, but saying that, WOW, what wonderful flavours in our meals. Went in for a big brekky and crepes, not disappointed. Great coffee and juice also. Atmosphere was lovely with the sun beaming in through the big window at front, staff very attentive, food simply amazing and well priced. Have been meaning to try this cafe before leaving Launceston (this week) wish we’d come earlier and more often. We’ll be back one day. Save us a seat! ”

“ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mad Apple Cafe — Launceston From the moment you walk the path toward the entrance, you can feel the good energy at Mad Apple Cafe. We were greeted warmly with a smile, and straight away we both had a great feeling about this place. There is an abundance of positive energy here, and we connected with it immediately. As we looked around, we noticed other patrons clearly enjoying themselves. Despite being full, the atmosphere remained calm, collected, and seamless — a hallmark of professional hospitality, which we truly appreciate. Our friendly waitress took our order, provided water and glasses, and allowed us to relax and enjoy each other’s company while waiting for our meal. When our dishes arrived, the wonderful aromas instantly hit our senses — we knew we were in for something special. The food and coffee were simply awesome, with evident care and attention to detail that did not go unnoticed. Mad Apple Cafe absolutely nailed it. That experience planted a seed for us, and we will most certainly return for another culinary delight. We highly recommend this establishment for breakfast, lunch, or simply to enjoy coffee, tea, and cake. A place full of good energy, good food, and good people — exactly what Launceston deserves. Warm regards, Michael John ”

“ My farming friend and I have both farmed livestock so it might seem ironic that we choose a vegetarian restaurant for lunch. But we respect food choices when they're made with the provenance of the ingredients in mind. Plus, we know the Mad Apple chefs present deliciousness on a plate. When our lunch dishes arrived they were presented with simple elegance, small bowls layered on plates and boards. My choice was the special of Butter 'Chicken' Curry with rice and garlic naan while my friend opted for Arancini balls with roast tomato and purple basil, and a potato salad side. My curry was silky and fragrant, and the chicken was of course make-believe. There was a rich umami sauce, and crispy, lightly-charred-on-the-outside, melt-in-the-mouth naan bread, which is obviously made in-house and I suspect with milk to make it soft. My friend had chosen a carb-plus-carb combination which sounded good when ordering but was a bit same-y in reality. This was compensated for later, since she had spotted Tiramisu on the dessert menu, with Mascarpone cream and dulce de leche, coffee ice cream and crumble, the last two components made in-house. It came layered in glasses with a decorative sprinkling of coffee beans and rounded off our meal in decadent style. If you'd like to read more about our lunch at the Mad Apple you'll find the full review in the upcoming edition of Forty South Tasmania, in newsagents and on their website soon. You can find my books about slow living and food in Tasmania on Amazon. ”

“ This is a great cafe. The staff are super friendly, coffee is great, food delicious. So many vegan options. The vegan brownie was yum and the scrambled tofu was the best I've had. Highly recommend for breakie, lunch or just a coffee ”

“ I forgot to review this from a trip back in October.. BEST LAKSA EVER - not sure what the special seasoning around the top was, maybe raspberry powder? It was quite magical flavour Also got a delicious vegan dessert and everything was so good, the team was so sweet and the place was adorable. Highly recommend! ”
